DRAPE TO YOUR HEART'S DESIRE

Headed to NGV (National Gallery of Victoria) today with my sister to see the 'Drape: Classical Mode to Contemporary Dress' exhibition. It featured a selection of beautiful gowns all representing the history of draping from the 19th century designed by Christian Dior, Dolce and Gabbana, Comme des Garcons, Gianni Versace and a few more other fabulous designers (that I can't remember right now). The gowns were all so beautiful with lots of grecian styles, as well as gorgeous structured dresses! Unfortunately I can't find many photos, but here's a couple that I found. The first one is from Christian Dior designed by Marc Bohan. est 1926. So pretty!

It was such a nice day, maybe a little too hot for my liking, but it was sunny and warm so we decided to laze around in the shade in the garden outside NGV.

This is my grey maxi dress I made a couple of days ago below :) It's finally warming up, so now I can start wearing dresses without tights, shorts, skirts, no cardigans or jackets... all month long!

I'm wearing self made maxi dress and chain bracelet, Rayban wayfarers
Natalie's wearing Reebok one piece, thrifted pants, Eclipse heels, Diva and vintage rings

PIN THOSE CURLS

I love the old school glamourous feel to this editorial published in Tush Magazine featuring Tanya Dziahileva. The perfect curls, intricate pleating and fabulous embellishment along with the soft dreamy feel are brilliant!

PERFECTION

When I saw this photo of Olivia Wilde in this RM by Roland Mouret Scirocco dress, I just thought "this dress is perfect!" I love the colour, the cut, the shape etc, and look at those subtly structured sleeves!

IT'S GETTING HOT!

It's getting ridiculously hot way too quickly! So to cool off and have a break from exam revision my sister and I decided to head out to snack on some salt and pepper squid with ice coffees. Also decided to make use of an empty top level carpark to take some random shots. And thanks to my family who bought me these tortoise shell Ray bans for my birthday!

I'm wearing Sportsgirl tee, Forever New vest, demin shorts, ring from Camberwell markert, Ray ban wayferers

PETER BEARD

Ever since reading about Peter Beard in Mary-Kate and Ashley's book 'Influence', I've fallen in love with Peter Beard's amazing photography and artwork inpsired by his trips to Africa. His images are so raw, real, and full of life ready to take you on your dream African safari.

He has worked with many influencial people such as Andy Warhol and Truman Capote and has published several amazing books with his most recent book written for his daughter, titled, Zara’s Tales: Perilous Escapades in Equatorial Africa.
